As a Commercial Insurance Virtual Sales Representative, you’ll be responsible for generating and closing new business insurance opportunities across multiple industries. You’ll work directly with the Sales Manager and collaborate closely with our quoting and client success teams to move leads through the pipeline—from first contact to close. This is a remote, full-time, inside sales position where your main focus will be building relationships with business owners and helping them secure competitive coverage options for workers’ compensation, general liability, and payroll programs. Who You’ll Work With You’ll report directly to the Sales Manager, who will provide coaching, call strategy, and lead support. You’ll also collaborate with the Quoting Team, who assists in preparing proposals and rate comparisons.
What You’ll Do (Daily Responsibilities)Your day-to-day will focus on consistent, proactive outreach and follow-up to move prospects through the sales funnel. Tasks include:
Cold calling and emailing small to mid-sized businesses to introduce our services.
Following up on warm leads and inbound quote requests.
Running initial needs assessments to identify pain points in workers’ comp or PEO programs.
Coordinating with quoting specialists to prepare proposals.
Presenting insurance and PEO options via phone or video conference.
Managing your pipeline in the CRM (tracking activities, notes, and next steps).
Following up persistently to close deals and maintain high conversion rates.
Meeting or exceeding weekly and monthly sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and qualify new business opportunities through outbound efforts.
Conduct consultative sales calls to understand client needs and present solutions.
Build and maintain relationships with clients and referral partners.
Work with underwriters, carriers, and PEO partners to structure best-fit coverage.
Maintain a disciplined follow-up schedule to ensure steady pipeline movement.
Contribute feedback to improve sales scripts, marketing campaigns, and CRM workflows.
What You’ll Bring
2+ years of B2B or commercial insurance sales experience
Strong sales phone and written communication skills.
Confidence in outbound prospecting and cold calling.
Experience using CRM tools to manage leads and follow-ups.
A self-starter attitude with consistent daily activity and accountability.
Prior experience in workers’ comp insurance , payroll sales is a strong plus.

Making 60–100 outbound touches per day (calls + emails).
Maintaining a healthy pipeline with daily follow-ups.
Hitting or exceeding monthly premium/revenue targets.
Providing excellent client experiences that generate referrals and renewals.
Contributing to a collaborative, motivated sales team culture.
