The Momentum Firm is seeking an experienced, freelance Project Manager to join the client delivery unit of its management consulting firm, supporting strategy and performance initiatives for state and local government clients. This client-facing role leads the planning, execution, and delivery of consulting projects designed to strengthen organizational performance and operational effectiveness. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with team members and public sector leaders to implement data-driven, sustainable solutions that enhance efficiency, culture, and long-term readiness for future challenges.
A Momentum Firm Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of consulting projects for public sector clients, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating project resources, managing changes to scope, schedule, and costs, and providing technical guidance and project documentation to support effective management and continuous improvement. The Project Manager collaborates closely with team members and public sector leaders, facilitates communication between stakeholders, and reports on project progress to senior management.
Must have bachelor's degree, must have demonstrated large-scale project management experience, preferably in the management consulting industry. Must be an expert in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
