Accounting/Bookkeeper reports directly to the Firm’s Controller. The job responsibilities are directly supervised; however, the contractor is expected to work independently, use good judgement, and have a ‘problem-solver’ personality to provide support to our accounting department.
Accounting/Bookkeeper key responsibilities includes, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring all legal documents required to close a case have been reviewed and saved in our CRM system (Litify) and accounted for in our One Drive company files with all required documents such as signed closing statements and executed notarized releases for corresponding case matters.
- Ensuring on a day-to-day basis scanned closing packages for each client matter have been renamed and uploaded to CRM system (Litify) and in our One Drive company files for recording purposes.
- Ensuring on a day-to-day basis scanned checks have been renamed and uploaded to CRM system (Litify) and in our One Drive company files for recording purposes.
- Conduct follow-up calls/emails with providers, vendors, or clients regarding outstanding checks issued on behalf of a client’s case matter
- Utilize our reports feature on Litify to maintain and review settlement check statuses by assisting accounting staff with any updated check status.
- Assist the accounting staff with the process of bank reconciliation tasks.
- Posting credit card transactions.
Accounting/Bookkeeper Job Qualifications:
- Accounting experience and degree.
- At least 1 year experience working as an accountant or bookkeeper.
- QuickBooks experience is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and integrity.
- Must speak English and Spanish proficiently.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to follow direction as per SOPs.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Interpersonal skills, including collaboration and communication.
- Must have their own Computer (Desktop or Laptop) MAC or Windows (If Windows must be at least with a processor Core I5, 8 to 12 RAM and at least Windows 10).
- USB noise cancelling headsets.
- WebCam for daily meetings, for trainings and huddles.
- Stable Internet speed must be at least 35Mbps Download and 15Mbps Upload.
Additional Corporate Training:
Employee will be required to attend additional online trainings, which may occasionally be scheduled on weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays. Employees will be given 30-day notice prior to scheduled training to make arrangements to attend the training online. Trainings are paid.
MONTHLY PAYMENTS $1000 per month - PAYMENTS ARE PROCESS ONCE PER MONTH AND DEPOSITED THE LAST BUSSINESS DAY OF EACH MONTH.
PAYMENTS ARE PROCESSED VIA DEEL (You can withdraw your payment via Wire Transfer, PayPal, Payoneer, Wise and Bitcoin)
