Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist to join our finance team remotely. In this role, you will manage all aspects of our accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial operations. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining our financial health and supporting our continued growth.

Compensation & Schedule:

• $4.00 USD per hour
• 6 AM - 230 PM (Los Angeles Time)
• Monday through Friday
• Saturdays and Sundays off

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable: Process and manage incoming payments from clients, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and follow up on outstanding accounts to secure payment.
• Accounts Payable: Handle and process all outgoing payments to vendors and carriers, verify and reconcile invoices, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available for operations.
• Maintain up-to-date financial records and ledgers, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare regular reports on financial status, including aging reports and payment forecasts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to billing and payments.
• Assist in month-end closing processes and contribute to the preparation of financial statements.
• Provide support during audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist or similar role in finance or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in the freight or logistics industry is a plus, but not required.
