Web Developer - API Integrations

Full Job Description

We are seeking a talented Web Developer with experience in API integrations to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing web applications that integrate with various APIs to meet our business needs. Your primary focus will be on back-end development with minimal front-end development required. This is a part-time, contract position with the possibility of full-time contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications that integrate with various APIs to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design software solutions that resolve business problems and improve productivity
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows best practices.
• Test and debug code to ensure the application meets requirements and is free of errors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
• Build custom applications using APIs, such as Shopify, Shipstation, Easypost, and Airtable.
• Use version control systems like Git to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers.
• Follow Agile development methodologies.
• Create and maintain databases using MySQL.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in web development with a focus on API integration.
• Experience working with various APIs, such as Shopify, Shipstation, Easypost, and Airtable.
• Proficient in programming languages like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Familiarity with MySQL databases and database design principles.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently
• Intermediate or advanced written and verbal English

Preferred:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and related APIs.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

If you are a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who has experience with API integration, we would love to hear from you. Experience with Shopify, Shipstation, Easypost, and Airtable APIs is preferred, as these will be the primary APIs used in this role.

Job is offered as an independent contractor position. All compensation is based on hours worked. The contractor is not considered an employee of the company, and as such is not entitled to any benefits, including pension, retirement, transportation, profit sharing, paid time off, or other benefits specific to company employees.
