Working Hours: Monday-Saturday 8am-6 pm EST

Role Overview:

As a Long-Distance Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the transportation of goods and household items from one location to another. You will be the point person communicating with drivers, customers, and the moving crew to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include managing logistics, handling pre-pickup and pre-load procedures, supporting drivers on the road, and maintaining clear and effective communication throughout the entire process.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordination and Communication:
• Manage logistics for transporting goods and household items over long distances.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and team members.
• Use the C-MET (call, message, email, text) method to keep clients informed.
• Planning and Scheduling:
• Check email and long-distance boards for new jobs.
• Create and manage to-do lists to prioritize tasks.
• Plan trips and arrange transportation for shipments.
• Pre-Pickup and Preload Procedures:
• Gather and confirm pickup details.
• Review delivery paperwork with drivers.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained.
• Driver and Customer Support:
• Assist drivers with finding additional labor if needed.
• Help drivers with rentals and charges for shuttles.
• Provide support for drivers in case of breakdowns or repairs on the road.
• Customer Service and Claims Handling:
• Follow up with customers post-delivery to ensure satisfaction.
• Address any customer service issues and assist with filing claims if necessary.

Handle conflict resolution with professionalism and efficiency.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish preferred).
• Prior experience in dispatching or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions.
• Knowledge of the transportation industry, including regulations and requirements.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Working Conditions:

• This is a remote position requiring availability to work six days a week.
• Flexible working hours to accommodate the needs of the business and customers.
• Must have a computer, headset and highspeed internet
