Content Writer (using AI, mostly)

Full Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated team member to write articles for us using AI.

You must:

• Have excellent written English. (You'll be writing articles for an American audience. They have to love the content and your tone. No grammatical or spelling mistakes!)
• Be reliable and consistent. (If you're not showing up for work on time, missing days, or missing articles, you won't last long. We're super flexible as long as the work is done.)
• Be independent. (Once you're trained and rockin' it, you need to just do your job. When the job's done (and done well), you're done for the day!)
• Be fast (Learn fast, communicate quickly, get work done quickly - when we are cranking out the news, you have to move fast
• Be fun and nice to work with. (We want team players)

What you'll be doing every day:

• Initially, we'll give you topics to "write about"
• We have guidelines for our articles in terms of length, etc. Using AI, you'll write the articles.
• Then, you'll proof-read, edit them, revise and add to them and make them awesome.
• Find a photo that matches the content (that is free to use, not a protected image)
• Post the article in Wordpress
• Write an email that will drive our readers to the article and load it into our email system.
• Work with our editor to improve writing, click through rates, open rates, etc
• Eventually, you may be able to pick and write your own content.
• During the week, also develop articles to go out over the weekend.
• You may be tasked with loading articles from other writers/team members in Wordpress and/or our other systems (email, etc.)
• Possibly hop in and help respond to emails from our readers
• Possibly help track statistics.
