Overfuel is a fast-growing, performance-obsessed software company on a mission to revolutionize digital experiences for automotive and powersports dealerships. As we scale, we’re looking for an experienced HR Operations Director & Talent Acquisition Lead who can independently own the full hiring lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to interviews, assessments, and onboarding.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the hiring process end-to-end: You’ll be the primary architect of our recruitment pipeline—from drafting job descriptions and selecting sourcing channels to making hiring recommendations.
  • Source actively and creatively: Use job boards, social platforms, industry communities, referrals, and outreach efforts to attract qualified candidates across Latin America and beyond.
  • Interview and evaluate: Conduct structured interviews and culture-fit assessments. Evaluate hard and soft skills, including technical assessments and take-home tests for roles like QA and engineering.
  • Design and grade assessments: Collaborate with our engineering and product teams to co-develop role-specific tasks and score candidate submissions fairly and consistently.
  • Build repeatable systems: Create scalable SOPs for recruitment, onboarding, and retention processes. Continuously improve how we hire, communicate, and integrate new team members.
  • Onboard new hires: Own the onboarding experience, ensuring new team members are well-equipped, welcomed, and aligned with company values from day one.
  • Serve as a culture gatekeeper: Identify candidates who align with our high standards for accountability, communication, and autonomy.
  • Partner with leadership: Provide regular updates on hiring progress and advise on team capacity, candidate pipelines, and market insights.


Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, or operations, preferably in a startup or tech-driven environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive outcomes without supervision
  • Strong interviewing skills, with a track record of identifying top performers and cultural fits
  • Experience designing and evaluating role-specific assessments and case studies
  • High emotional intelligence and a talent for building trust across remote teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills—you can manage multiple hiring tracks without letting details slip
  • Familiarity with tools like Notion, Google Workspace, and applicant tracking systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required)
