HTML + CSS developer

Full Job Description

We are looking for a talented HTML + CSS developer with at least 1 year of experience.

You’d be working to create and update HTML files to match content that you’ll be provided with. You’ll feed these files into a build tool that generates HTML emails and documents (for electronic signature) that will be sent by a CRM system. You would be supervised by a senior web developer. 

Previous experience writing and testing HTML emails is not required. (Salary depends on experience)

Job Responsibilities

• Meet (virtually) with stakeholders in the company and senior web developer on a regular basis to determine the best way to achieve the company’s goals (with respect to the emails).
• Create and update HTML emails and documents (using an internal Gulp-based build tool)
• Test certain emails using tools like Litmus and/or Email on Acid
• Manually deploy HTML emails to the Windows-based CRM system.
• Additional responsibilities would depend on your skillset

Job Requirements

Excellent English proficiency (near-native, e.g. CEFR English level C2) for written and verbal communications. Native English proficiency would be ideal.

Dependable with a high attention to detail

Ideally at least a total of 1 year working for US based companies

Experience working with more than one developer on the same project using Git (ideally using GitHub and the Github flow)

At least 1 year of experience with all of the following:

• HTML
• CSS
• Git
• Windows 11

An ideal candidate would also have experience with some or all of the following:

• Using CLI tools such as Gulp and Docker
• SASS/SCSS
• Creating transactional and marketing HTML emails
• Email testing tools like Litmus and/or Email on Acid
• Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Chat, etc.)

English proficiency, project communication skills, reliability, and dependability are more important than the amount of skills.
