Full Job Description

As an Intake Paralegal, you’ll be the first point of contact for individuals experiencing workplace issues such as discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, or unpaid wages. You will be responsible for conducting detailed intake interviews, evaluating legal issues based on firm criteria, and coordinating the next steps with attorneys and staff.


Job Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and follow up with individuals who contact the firm seeking representation.
  • Conduct structured intake interviews to gather relevant information and documents.
  • Assess cases using firm scripts and checklists, flagging high-priority issues (e.g., deadlines, protected class concerns).
  • Draft internal summaries and timelines for attorney review.
  • Manage follow-up tasks and ensure timely communication with PNCs.
  • Track case activity using a CRM (e.g., HubSpot) and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate and schedule attorney consultations.
  • Collaborate with the intake lead and legal team on case screening, onboarding, and retainer processes.


Job Requirements

Prior experience in a legal setting, intake, or customer-facing role strongly preferred.

Knowledge of employment law or a passion for workplace justice is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Empathetic listener with the ability to engage professionally with individuals in distress.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Tech-savvy: proficient with email, calendars, cloud-based systems, and CRMs (experience with HubSpot is a bonus).
