Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative video editor who is an expert in social media video (vertical & horizontal formats), for company and client projects. 

As a part-time video editor, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging and appealing videos that meet our needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage and create videos for social media platforms.
• Work collaboratively to produce videos that meet our clients' goals.
• Select the best footage to tell a compelling story that aligns with our brand's or client’s brand.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of the video output, by reviewing final videos for quality assurance. Make necessary revisions and edits based on feedback from team members and stakeholders. Ensure all videos meet the company's standards and guidelines.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest video trends and styles on social media platforms.
• Edit audio and add sound effects to enhance the video experience.
• Export the video content to meet social media platforms' technical requirements.
• Create captions for the videos
• Organize the photo & video assets to ensure easy availability and re-purposing of content.
• Maintain backups.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality videos within specified timelines. Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with team members: graphic designers, photographer/videographer and clients to achieve cohesive and visually appealing video content

Job Requirements

• Proven experience as a video editor, with a portfolio that showcases your work.
• Expert knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Filmora, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
• Understanding of video optimization for social media platforms.
• Experience in color grading and sound design.
• Attention to detail and ability to work on tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Availability to work part-time.
• High-speed internet access
• High-speed computer

Work hours

Salary: Starting at $5 per hour

Type: 100% Remote | Part-Time - 10hours per week to start with

Schedule: Flexible
