We need a part-time CFO to join our dynamic team. This is a remote (work from home) position. The part-time CFO will be responsible for reviewing budgets and, more importantly, creating accurate financial forecasts to guide our company’s financial strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
Requirements:
Salary & Growth Opportunities:
Financial Expertise: Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting is essential. You are not expected to manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks (those are handled by our accounting team). However, you need to be proficient with QuickBooks and Google Sheets, and understand financial statements and projections well enough to influence strategic decisions and communicate effectively with our team and stakeholders.
Strategic Financial Guidance: Your job is to understand our company's financial landscape and guide us toward sustainable growth. This means identifying areas for financial improvement, recommending strategic changes, and educating team members on key financial metrics. If a particular project or investment is not yielding the expected return, it's up to you to analyze the situation and suggest better strategies to optimize our financial performance.
Problem Solving: At Ninedot, we value proactive problem-solving. We adhere to the 1:3:1 rule (Google it), and expect you to take the initiative to resolve financial issues independently. This doesn't mean you won't have support, but we need someone who can tackle challenges head-on and bring innovative solutions to the table. Your ability to overcome obstacles and drive financial success is key.
Successful CFO personality profile: You are driven by results and possess a strong analytical mind. You are likely a decisive, pragmatic leader whose focus on financial success can inspire and guide those around you. You communicate clearly and make informed decisions quickly. You enjoy taking charge in financial matters and exploring effective, strategic solutions. Your determination and confidence make you a strong financial leader.
Important personality traits:
What energizes you:
Truth: Everything we do requires a commitment to truth as the core principle and foundation of our company. We are data driven marketers, data is truth. If something isn’t working, we tell the client. If we make a mistake, we’re the first to bring it up and we own it. If we don’t know the answer to something, we admit it readily (and then work to figure it out!) If we disagree, we say so. Truth is the first and most important step to solving any problem.
Responsibility: How do we do more? How do we give more? How do we help each other? Responsibility requires us to constantly be looking for opportunities to go further. We don’t try to get out of work, we lean into it. You’ll never hear us say, “That’s not my job.” By being proactive with our skillset we place ourselves in a position to influence the world around us in a way that only those who understand true responsibility ever can.
Heart: It’s not enough to simply do. You also have to care. You have to care about your clients, your team mates, and yourself. You have to work like it matters, like what you’re doing means something. You need to know that you’re making an impact and understand that there are people relying on you to do what’s best for them. In some cases, these people wouldn’t know the difference which makes it even more important. We have been offered a sacred trust in helping people grow their business and so we treat their businesses as our own.
