Virtual Medical Scribe & Assistant to assist a Doctor in the Specialty of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) & Pain Management

Hours ~10-15 hours/week Schedule Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Pacific Time Zone (subject to change)

Location: Remote

Role Overview: A physician specializing in PM&R and Pain Management is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Scribe & Assistant to provide part-time remote support. This role is ideal for someone with a medical background or strong interest in healthcare and is looking for consistent, flexible work.

Compensation: Based on experience & medical knowledge ($6-9/hr).

Job Responsibilities

 Key Responsibilities: Remotely access and navigate an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Perform live transcription via shared Google Sheets during phone dictation. Review and summarize physical therapy notes. Assist with patient charting and clinical documentation. Conduct Medicare insurance verifications online. Optional: Make occasional phone calls to assist the doctor with personal tasks

Job Requirements

Ideal Candidate:

Background or interest in the medical field (transcription, nursing, pre-med, medical assisting, etc.)

Owns and uses a Windows PC (EHR incompatible with Mac or Linux)

Typing speed of 70+ WPM

Familiarity with medical and anatomical terminology

Advanced English Fluency

Bonus: Experience making phone calls and handling personal assistant duties.
