Legal Interpreters LLC is a U.S.-based language services agency founded by an experienced professional interpreter. We pride ourselves on working with some of the best linguists in the nation—carefully vetted and matched to each client’s specific needs across legal, medical, military, conference, and business settings.

We’re currently hiring a Scheduler to join our growing team! This is a remote position open to candidates based in Latin America. You’ll play a vital role in our daily operations, handling interpreter requests, coordinating schedules, recruiting new talent, and ensuring smooth communication between clients and interpreters.

Schedule & Time Zone:

• This is a remote position based on Eastern Standard Time (New York), with 30-40 working hours a week.
• Initial training schedule for first 2-3 weeks: Monday to Friday, 10:00AM-2:30PM
• Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• After initial training: Regular schedule will shift to 9:30 AM to 6:30PM EST
• Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. Weekends may vary. Flexibility is required!
• Position may eventually include weekend shifts 

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule interpreters for a wide range of settings (face-to-face, phone, and video), including legal, medical, military, conference, and business events
• Recruit and screen interpreters, including sourcing linguists for rare languages
• Review resumes, certifications, and conduct interviews to verify qualifications
• Communicate with clients and interpreters, resolving any scheduling issues or conflicts
• Maintain and update a database of 3,000+ interpreters and translators
• Assist with quoting, budgeting, and risk management
• Use specialized scheduling software (e.g., Interpreters Intelligence) to manage assignments

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working in:

• A language agency (interpreter scheduling preferred)
• A courthouse or court-reporting agency (U.S. or abroad)
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PDF readers)
• Familiarity with interpreter scheduling software (Interpreters Intelligence is a plus)
• Minimum of an associate degree or equivalent coursework
• Completion not required!
• Degrees from non-U.S. institutions welcome!
• Fluent English required, including strong comprehension of U.S. vocabulary, grammar, and professional communication norms
• Bilingual or multilingual candidates strongly preferred
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Strong multitasking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Equipment Requirements:

• Must have a reliable computer and dual-monitor set up for daily use
• All necessary software subscriptions and tools will be provided
