Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly computer-savvy and experienced Full-Time Remote Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate is not only knowledgeable in bookkeeping but also exhibits a deep care for our company's success and growth. They will be responsible for maintaining and organizing our financial records, ensuring the books are accurate and in compliance with American laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize bookkeeping expertise to accurately record and categorize financial transactions in our accounting system (QuickBooks Online).
  • Analyze spending patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide valuable insights to improve financial efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate with team members to gather financial data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure all financial information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Assist in collections efforts, reaching out to customers to ensure timely payments and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
  • Demonstrate strong writing skills for creating clear and concise memos and communication related to financial matters.
  • Exhibit a go-getter attitude, actively seeking opportunities to support the company beyond bookkeeping tasks.
  • Be open to learning new software tools, including Salesforce, as we continue to expand and improve our processes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, to manage spreadsheets, perform calculations, and generate financial reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive financial information.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a full-time bookkeeper with expertise in QuickBooks Online.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and proficiency in creating and using formulas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of American bookkeeping laws, regulations, and practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A caring and proactive approach, showing genuine interest in the success of the company.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Preferred:

Familiarity with Salesforce (an added advantage but not a requirement).
