Full Job Description

We are seeking a Remote Dispatcher to efficiently assign trucks, personnel, and equipment for each job. This role requires high attention to detail, logical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills. The dispatcher must ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, particularly hours of service. Virtual morning meetings with crew leaders are required to relay job details.

Job Responsibilities

• Assign resources (trucks, crews, and equipment) based on job requirements.
• Ensure compliance with DOT hours of service regulations when scheduling drivers.
• Conduct virtual meetings with crew leaders every morning.
• Monitor and promote a safety-oriented culture and oversee safety-sensitive functions.
• Maintain detailed dispatch records and schedules.
• Address and resolve scheduling conflicts quickly and efficiently.
• Assist in writing and improving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Communicate clearly and directly with teams.
• Ensure smooth coordination between operations and customers.

Job Requirements

• Experience in logistics and transportation (preferred).
• Education in logistics (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Understanding of U.S. DOT regulations (preferred).
• Experience in promoting a safety-oriented culture.
• Ability to complete a skills assessment in technological proficiency, logic, and spoken English.
