Full Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and creative 3-D Video Animation Creator to join the Black Folks Rock team. You will produce engaging short video reels featuring 2D and 3D animations centered around Black history, education, and little-known facts to empower and educate our audience. This is a paid-per-video opportunity with the ability to make up to $1000 per month.

Job Responsibilities

Create High-Quality Animations:

• Design and produce engaging 2D and 3D animations for short video reels.

Research and Storyboarding:

• Collaborate with the team to develop storyboards and concepts that align with Black history, education, and little-known facts.

Integrate Educational Content:

• Incorporate factual, historically accurate information into animations in an engaging and creative way.

Video Editing:

• Edit and finalize videos to include transitions, sound effects, background music, and text overlays as needed.

Maintain Brand Consistency:

• Ensure all video content aligns with Black Folks Rock’s branding, tone, and mission.

Meet Deadlines:

• Deliver completed videos on time while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Collaborate with the Team:

• Work closely with team members to refine ideas, review scripts, and incorporate feedback into the final product.

Stay Updated on Trends:

• Keep up with trends in animation, video editing, and short-form content to create visually appealing and relevant videos.

Optimize for Social Media:

• Tailor videos for platforms like Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok to maximize audience engagement.

Quality Assurance:

• Review videos thoroughly to ensure accuracy, professionalism, and alignment with the project goals.

Example of Content To Create: Look Up Zack D. Films Reels on YouTube or FaceBook.

Job Requirements

Animation Expertise:

• Proficiency in creating both 2D and 3D animations for short-form content.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, storytelling, and design.

Software Proficiency: (At least one of the following)

• Experience using Blender for 3D modeling, rigging, and animation.
• Proficiency with Krita for 2D/3D animation and digital art.
• Knowledge of OpenToonz for traditional-style 2D/3D animations.
• Advanced skills in Adobe After Effects for motion graphics, visual effects, and compositing.
• Experience with Toon Boom Harmony for professional 2D/3D animation and rigging.

Video Editing:

• Ability to integrate animations into video content, including editing transitions, adding sound effects, and optimizing for different platforms.

Storyboarding and Concept Development:

• Experience in developing storyboards and translating concepts into engaging visuals.
• Strong research skills to ensure accurate and educational storytelling.

Attention to Detail:

• Ensure all animations and videos align with Black Folks Rock’s branding, tone, and educational mission.

Social Media Optimization:

• Familiarity with creating content tailored for platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with team members remotely.
• Strong time management skills to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
