Civil Engineer (LATAM) – Plastic Fusion Fabrication Full-Time | Remote (LATAM Only)
Plastic Fusion is a U.S.-based industrial contractor specializing in HDPE welding, geomembrane systems, floating covers, lagoon covers, HDPE manholes, and large environmental infrastructure projects.
Our work supports municipalities, engineering firms, and industrial operations across the United States. We are expanding and hiring a Civil Engineer with strong CAD skills to support engineering, drafting, estimating, and technical documentation for our HDPE fabrication and installation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and revise 2D and 3D CAD drawings for:
Prepare material takeoffs, fabrication lists, and cost estimates.
Support engineering calculations involving slopes, loads, anchoring, buoyancy, settlement, and structural behavior.
Create shop drawings, submittals, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation.
Review technical specifications, site plans, survey data, and client requirements.
Coordinate with project managers and fabrication staff to ensure design accuracy and constructability.
Help improve internal engineering workflows and documentation standards.
Join client meetings when needed to clarify drawing details (optional but preferred).
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of AutoCAD experience (required).
Strong drafting and technical drawing skills.
Solid understanding of structural fundamentals and industrial/site design.
Ability to interpret engineering plans, construction drawings, and technical specs.
Advanced English level (written and verbal).
Ability to work independently with consistent follow-through.
Reliable internet and ability to overlap with U.S. business hours.
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
Experience with HDPE, geomembranes, wastewater systems, or environmental engineering.
Work history with U.S. engineering, construction, or industrial contractors.
Knowledge of municipal or industrial project submittals and documentation.
Familiarity with SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
Compensation & Growth
Starting Salary: $2,000 USD per month
Highly competitive within LATAM for civil engineers.
