The Data Scientist (MMM Contractor) is responsible for developing, validating, and implementing a Marketing Mix Model (MMM) that predicts sales outcomes for new and used vehicles. This role will also design an optimization framework to allocate marketing budgets effectively against sales targets. The contractor collaborates with Fountain Forward’s internal data engineering and analytics teams to ensure solutions are both technically rigorous and actionable for marketing stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Model Development & Validation:
Collaborate with internal teams to define MMM inputs (historical sales, marketing spend, promotions, external factors).
Design, build, and rigorously validate models to predict new and used car sales.
Document methodologies, assumptions, validation results, and model code for transparency.
Optimization & Implementation:
Develop and implement models to optimize budget allocation across channels, meeting dual quantitative sales targets.
Utilize Python libraries for model implementation and integration.
Integrate outputs with the Data Engineering team for workflow automation.
Model Accuracy: Validated predictive accuracy for sales outcomes (new + used vehicles).
Optimization Success: Demonstrated improvements in budget allocation efficiency.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing:
Work closely with marketing analysts to ensure solutions are understandable and actionable.
Translate complex model outputs into clear, business-friendly insights.
Align solutions with marketing objectives and client needs.
Documentation & Reporting:
