Position Overview

LoanBud is hiring a Funding Specialist to work directly with small business owners seeking financing. This is a high-performance sales role combining inbound lead conversion and outbound outreach. Your goal is to move deals forward and get borrowers funded.


Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Lead Follow-Up & Conversion

  • Rapidly follow up with business owners who have applied for financing
  • Qualify applicants and understand their financing needs
  • Guide borrowers through next steps and keep them engaged throughout the process
  • Convert inbound interest into completed applications and submitted deals

Outbound Prospecting & Cold Outreach

  • Proactively reach out to potential small business borrowers via phone, email, and SMS
  • Generate new opportunities through outbound calls and follow-ups
  • Engage prospects, qualify interest, and move them into the application process
  • Maintain consistent outreach activity to build pipeline

Borrower Communication (Phone, SMS, Email)

  • Maintain consistent communication across multiple channels
  • Clearly explain the financing process, requirements, and expectations
  • Build trust and credibility with small business owners

Document Follow-Up & Sales Support

  • Follow up with applicants to collect required documentation (tax returns, financials, etc.)
  • Ensure borrowers complete their applications fully and accurately
  • Work closely with internal teams to keep deals moving forward

Pipeline Management

  • Manage a personal pipeline of inbound and outbound opportunities
  • Track status, next steps, and follow-ups for each deal
  • Prioritize outreach to maximize conversions and deal flow

Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with credit analysts, operations, and lending partners
  • Communicate borrower updates and escalate issues when needed
  • Ensure smooth handoff of deals through the process

Excellent Communicator (Critical Requirement)

  • You have strong verbal and written English skills
  • You can confidently speak with U.S.-based business owners
  • Your communication is clear, professional, and persuasive

Organized & Pipeline-Driven

  • You can manage multiple leads and conversations at once
  • You track follow-ups, next steps, and priorities without missing anything
  • You think in terms of conversion and movement through the funnel

Ownership Mentality

  • You take responsibility for outcomes, not just activity
  • You think: “How do I get this deal funded?”
  • You proactively solve problems and move deals forward

Comfortable in a Fast-Paced Environment

  • You can handle high volume across inbound and outbound
  • You respond quickly and stay organized under pressure
  • You are reliable and consistent during working hours


Job Requirements

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in sales, financial services, or fintech
  • Experience with inbound lead conversion and outbound cold outreach
  • Strong phone-based sales experience (high call volume preferred)
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) — must communicate clearly with U.S. clients
  • Ability to manage a pipeline and follow structured processes
  • Reliable remote work setup and availability aligned with U.S. business hours

Nice to Have

  • Experience in small business lending, SBA loans, or merchant cash advance
  • Experience working with U.S.-based clients
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools
