Full Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Google Ads specialist to manage and optimize a hyperlocal advertising campaign for a gastroenterology practice. This role requires deep expertise in local service campaigns with Google Business Profile integration, where conversion paths extend beyond traditional landing page metrics.


Job Responsibilities

Campaign Management & Optimization

  • Manage day-to-day operations of hyperlocal Google Ads campaigns targeting the Houston metro area
  • Optimize campaigns where Google Business Profile generates direct actions (calls, direction requests, messages) alongside traditional landing page conversions
  • Develop and refine radius targeting strategies to maximize patient acquisition within specific geographic boundaries
  • Monitor and adjust bid strategies that account for multiple conversion sources and fragmented attribution paths

Tracking & Attribution

  • Implement tracking solutions that capture both web conversions and GBP-driven actions (phone calls, direction requests)
  • Create reporting frameworks that provide clear ROI across all conversion types

Strategic Development

  • Conduct ongoing keyword research and audience refinement specific to local intent queries
  • Test and iterate on ad copy that addresses patient pain points around digestive health issues while maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Recommend campaign structure improvements based on local search behavior patterns

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Provide regular performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Communicate campaign performance in clear, non-technical language
  • Coordinate with our team on landing page optimization and overall campaign strategy


Job Requirements

Essential Experience

  • 2+ years managing Google Ads campaigns with proven hyperlocal/local service ads experience
  • Demonstrated success with campaigns where Google Business Profile is a primary conversion driver
  • Experience tracking and optimizing for phone calls, direction requests, and other GBP actions alongside web conversions
  • Portfolio or case studies showing successful hyperlocal campaigns (healthcare/professional services preferred)

Technical Skills

  • Expert-level knowledge of Google Ads platform, including Local Campaigns and Performance Max for store goals
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and call tracking platforms
  • Experience with location-based bid adjustments and radius targeting optimization
  • Understanding of conversion value rules and attribution modeling for mixed conversion sources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare or medical practice advertising (familiarity with compliance requirements)
  • Knowledge of patient journey mapping and healthcare consumer behavior
  • Google Ads certifications
  • Experience working with small to mid-sized local businesses
