Bilingual Immigration Case Manager / Legal Assistant (Remote)

Immigration Lawyers USA is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Bilingual Immigration Case Manager / Legal Assistant to join our growing team.

This position is ideal for someone with prior experience working at a U.S. immigration law firm who is looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a supportive team. The successful candidate will assist attorneys and senior staff with case preparation, client communication, document collection, case management, and immigration filings.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates proactively, enjoys helping people, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare immigration forms and supporting documentation
  • Review client documents and evidence for completeness
  • Follow up with clients regarding missing evidence and case requirements
  • Draft cover letters, client correspondence, and case notes
  • Organize and maintain electronic case files
  • Track deadlines and case progress
  • Communicate with clients by phone, email, WhatsApp, and video conference
  • Assist attorneys with case preparation and filing packages
  • Update case management systems and maintain accurate records
  • Perform quality control reviews of case files before submission
  • Other administrative and legal support tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working at a U.S. immigration law firm strongly preferred
  • Experience with family-based immigration, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, VAWA, naturalization, removal defense, or other immigration matters preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently
  • Reliable high-speed internet and backup power/internet solution
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Experience with Docketwise or other immigration case management software is a significant plus

  • Draft cover letters, client correspondence, and case notes
  • Prepare and submit FOIA requests, USCIS inquiries, and service requests
  • Organize and maintain electronic case files and supporting evidence
  • Upload and manage documents within Docketwise and other case management systems
  • Track filing deadlines, follow-up tasks, and case milestones
  • Assist with family-based immigration, adjustment of status, consular processing, naturalization, waivers, humanitarian, E2, and removal defense matters
  • Conduct quality control reviews of case files prior to attorney review and filing
  • Follow firm procedures and case preparation checklists to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain detailed case notes and document all client communications
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and workflow improvement initiatives
  • Other immigration case management and legal support duties as assigned


Job Requirements

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working for a U.S. immigration law firm strongly preferred
  • Experience preparing or assisting with immigration forms, case management, client communication, and document collection
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and professional remote workspace
  • Backup power and/or internet solution in case of outages
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Google Workspace, and cloud-based file management systems
  • Experience with Docketwise or other immigration case management software preferred
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with family-based immigration, adjustment of status, naturalization, consular processing, VAWA, waivers, FOIA requests, USCIS inquiries, or removal defense matters
  • Experience reviewing supporting evidence and preparing filing packages
  • Experience communicating directly with clients regarding case requirements and document collection
  • Prior legal assistant, paralegal, immigration case manager, or immigration specialist experience
  • Interest in a long-term position with opportunities for growth and increased responsibility
