Insurance Specialist

Full Job Description

The ideal candidate has previous experience working as an insurance specialist for a Plaintiff's personal injury firm, preferably with a primary concentration on car and truck accidents and premises liability cases. If you do not have previous experience, but are smart, hard-working, coachable, and have a positive personality, we have a great track record of training new specialists.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up first- and third-party claims and gather adjuster and coverage information.
• Send Letters of Representation and preservation letters to insurance carriers and third parties.
• Follow up on liability investigations, letters of acknowledgment, and coverage declarations.
• Handle subrogation: request itemized bills, dispute unrelated charges, and update lien info.
• Purchase police reports and perform open records requests, including public data searches.
• Conduct insurance tracing, policy limit searches, and request video footage when applicable.
• Coordinate recorded statements and obtain witness questionnaires.
• Manage requests for permission to settle and handle case withdrawals.
• Upload all documents with correct naming conventions and update key fields in Litify.
• Provide client updates and support paralegals in progressing claims toward resolution.
