Full Job Description

The Interstate Move Coordinator is a critical mid-to-senior level role responsible for leading the coordination team and ensuring a seamless, 5-star moving experience for every client. This role balances high-level team leadership with hands-on daily operations, including client communication, logistical oversight, and labor expense management.

Position Summary

  • Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Compensation: $5.00 – $8.00 per hour
  • Primary Objective: To guide the move coordination team while maintaining constant communication with customers and field personnel to ensure on-time, under-budget moves.


Job Responsibilities

1. Client Communication & Success

  • Conduct introductory calls to set expectations and pre-move confirmation calls to ensure readiness.
  • Perform consistent follow-up calls and post-move customer surveys to gauge satisfaction.
  • Provide real-time updates to clients regarding their move status.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for client concerns, resolving issues with a professional demeanor.

2. Operational Oversight

  • Assign and balance daily workloads for the coordinator team.
  • Monitor Smart Moving, Slack channels, and Outlook for accuracy and timely updates.
  • Verify that all Orders for Service (OFS) and Bills of Lading (BOL) are signed and compliant.
  • Coordinate with movers, drivers, and dispatch to align schedules and resources.

3. Financial & Performance Reporting

  • Labor Expense Management: Track and report expenses for labor to ensure jobs remain under budget.
  • Compile and deliver daily/weekly performance reports to leadership.
  • Monitor team KPIs, specifically focusing on customer review acquisition and budget adherence.


Job Requirements

Experience: Mid-to-Senior level experience in logistics, moving, or high-volume coordination.

Technical Proficiency: * Expertise in Smart Moving (or similar CRM/Move Management software).

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Fluent in Slack for internal team communication.

  • Leadership: Ability to train new coordinators and foster departmental cooperation.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in documentation and scheduling.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for client "Intro" and "Follow-up" calls.
  • Resilience: Ability to stay calm and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
