About the Opportunity
Today, the operational backbone of our Learning & Development function runs through a single seat: the employee database cycle, systems access administration, and keeping our training library current. That part works.
What's missing is the seat that delivers the training itself: someone who owns the room over video, coaches a session into a habit instead of letting it end when the call does, and clears the backlog of material nobody has checked against how the job is actually done.
So we are growing that seat into an L&D Facilitator. Facilitation, coaching, and content verification will make up 70% of your week; the operational rhythm that used to be the whole job is capped at 30%, and protected so it stays that way.
We are not looking for someone to author new curriculum from scratch. Content creation stays where it is today. We are looking for someone who can stand in front of a room, on camera, make training stick with real follow-up, and get a department lead to answer a straight yes or no on whether the material is still accurate.
This is a fully remote seat. Every session runs live over video, there is no property travel, and the certified on-property trainer program you build is how this seat keeps eyes on a floor it will never stand on.
About Us
At Pathfinder Hospitality, we believe in Platinum Service: doing unto others better than they could imagine. That philosophy drives how we treat our guests, our clients, and our team members. Here, you are not just filling a role. You are joining a team that invests in your growth and rewards excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitation & Delivery
• Own the room. Deliver live-video training for corporate and property audiences: new-hire onboarding by job family, monthly manager workshops, and the compliance and safety cycle, against a calendar published a quarter ahead.
• Build capacity on property. Train and certify on-property supervisors and leads to deliver sessions and observations where a floor presence is required, since this is a remote seat with no on-site reach of its own.
• Deliver in both languages. Facilitate property-facing sessions in English and Spanish so no audience goes underserved.
• Run the room beyond the classroom. Facilitate retros, offsites, and cross-property working sessions on request, and supply the weekly pre-shift lineup topic that property leaders deliver as a training moment.
• Own the logistics. Handle calendar invites, attendance tracking, materials distribution, feedback links, and follow-up sends for every session.
Coaching
Coaching
• Make training stick. Deliver structured 2-week and 6-week follow-up check-ins for every cohort, checking against the specific behaviors the session committed to, not a re-teach or a satisfaction survey.
• Coach where directed. Deliver standing coaching to the supervisors and department heads the L&D Manager names, on the topics the L&D Manager directs. You deliver the coaching directive; you do not set it.
• Log what isn't transferring. Keep an ongoing transfer log of what did not stick and why: unclear job aid, no manager reinforcement, an SOP that doesn't match reality, no time on shift. This is the direct input to the curation lane.
• Verify against reality, not assumption. Take each asset to its owning department lead with specific closed questions, such as "does step 4 still happen?" or "is this the current system?", and record the lead's name, answer, and date.
• Own knowledge base integrity. Keep every entry on template with an owner, ID, version, and review date, and keep the Drive structure enforced: nothing off-format, nothing duplicated in email or personal drives.
• Check that English and Spanish match. Confirm the Spanish version of an asset says exactly what the English version says: same steps, same order, same current system names.
Operations
• Run the employee database cycle. Process the weekly export through the reconciliation workbook, route enrichment gaps to General Managers, and keep supervisor fields accurate.
• Administer system access. Apply user-access changes and add new systems to the exact scope People Ops provides. People Ops decides access; this seat applies it.
• Keep the dashboards honest. Run a daily scan and a weekly full pass of the coaching dashboard for pipeline errors, and escalate findings to People Ops rather than interpreting the data yourself.
• Keep the daily rhythm. Time-box a daily operations pass to dashboard scans, request intake, and project hygiene, and close every day with attendance, completions, and trackers filed and audit-ready.
• Report weekly. Deliver the reporting pack and the L&D Manager check-in every Friday.
Job Requirements
• Facilitation experience: Comfortable running a room over video, including corporate sessions, manager workshops, and onboarding across multiple job families, and adapting delivery to a live, remote-only format.
• Coaching, not just training: Able to run structured follow-up and standing 1:1 coaching with supervisors and department heads, and hold to a coaching agenda set by someone else rather than one you set yourself.
• Curation discipline: Comfortable reading and triaging existing material against reality rather than authoring from a blank page, and closing the loop with a department lead until an answer is on record.
• Bilingual fluency: Full professional fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish, including the ability to confirm a Spanish asset matches its English counterpart.
• Operational rigor: Comfortable running a recurring reconciliation cycle, system access administration, and dashboard review inside a fixed daily time box.
• Judgment and confidentiality: Able to hold coaching content in confidence, escalate what isn't yours to resolve, and keep decisions where they belong: with the L&D Manager, People Ops, or People Systems.
• Availability: Able to work a consistent schedule from a stable remote setup, delivering sessions and coaching live over video. No property travel required.
