We are looking for a highly analytical Operations Data Analyst to help build systems, reports, and operational tools that improve the efficiency of our food distribution business.This role is not just about analyzing spreadsheets. The right candidate will help design structured Excel systems, automate workflows, build operational reports, and identify problems related to pricing, inventory, purchasing, and margins.You will work directly with the company owner and operations team to turn messy operational data into clear systems that the team can rely on every day.Tasks include:
Building and improving operational reports in Excel
Designing systems to track pricing, margins, inventory, and purchasing
Cleaning and organizing large datasets
Using AI tools to accelerate analysis and automation
Identifying operational problems and proposing practical solutions
Converting manual processes into structured and repeatable systems
We are looking for someone who:
Has very strong Excel skills (formulas, structure, and logic)
Thinks in systems and processes
Is comfortable working with operational and financial data
Can work independently and solve problems without constant supervision
Is open to using AI tools to improve productivity
Candidates will be asked to complete a short practical assessment to demonstrate their analytical thinking, system-building ability, and Excel skills.
Build and maintain operational Excel reports for pricing, margins, inventory, and purchasing
Assist with finalizing daily invoices in QuickBooks and reviewing transactions for accuracy
Support the purchase order process, including preparing, tracking, and updating POs
Monitor inventory data and help identify discrepancies, shortages, or operational issues
Work inside ClickUp to manage tasks, track projects, and document operational processes
Participate in daily team coordination through Zoom meetings and screen sharing when needed
Analyze operational data and help improve internal systems and reporting workflows
Assist with organizing and cleaning large datasets used for business analysis
Support the operations team with administrative and analytical tasks as needed
Provide basic customer service support, including answering calls and assisting with customer inquiries
Help identify opportunities to automate or improve manual processes using Excel and AI tools
Maintain organized documentation for reports, procedures, and internal workflows

The output should be structured in a way that allows someone reviewing it to quickly understand what went wrong and how much it affects the company.
Design your solution so the analysis could be reused if new PO and vendor bill data were added later.
