Operations Dispatcher (Full-Time Seasonal)

Full Job Description

We are seeking a high-energy, problem-solving Dispatcher to join our Local Ops team through the peak season (October). This is a critical role that connects our Sales team, our Field Crews, and our Customers. 

You will be responsible for real-time logistics, paperwork compliance, and high-level customer service.

• Duration: Now through late October (extension possible based on performance/seasonality).
• Schedule: Thursday – Monday (8 hours/day).
• Compensation: $1,000 USD per month.

Job Responsibilities

1. Crew Coordination & Dispatching

• Morning Kick-off: Assign jobs to on-site teams and send job-specific threads in Slack channels to ensure crews have all necessary details.
• Active Support: Conduct dispatch calls to ensure crews are moving and on track.
• Resource Management: Occasionally "sell" additional crew members to customers when job site conditions require extra labor.

2. Customer Communication

• ETA Management: Call all afternoon customers (10am–2pm and 12pm–4pm windows) to provide accurate arrival estimates.
• Experience Tracking: Send customer experience texts to ensure 5-star satisfaction.
• Conflict Resolution: Act as the bridge between Sales and Customers when booking issues or schedule conflicts arise.

3. Auditing & Compliance

• Paperwork Audit: Review Estimates and Bills of Lading (BOL) to ensure they are properly signed by the customer.
• Data Accuracy: Update estimates in the Daily Dispatch Report (DDR) and maintain "Process Organizer" sheets (Weekly/Monthly checklists).

Job Requirements

Phone Confidence: Must be extremely comfortable handling back-to-back calls with both crews and customers.

Fast-Paced Experience: Proven ability to handle high-stress logistics environments.

Tools: Experience with Slack, SmartMoving (or similar), and Excel/Google Sheets.
