Reports to: Mauricio Cardenal, Founder Department: Paid Media Location: Remote, US business hours Team: Manages the paid media specialists and coordinates with account management, creative, and web Status: [Confirm W-2 or contractor before posting]
We help home service companies generate more revenue through digital marketing. Our clients are roofers, HVAC companies, plumbers, electricians, siding contractors, pest control and landscapers across the United States. Our vision is to empower 1,000 home improvement companies and grow their businesses.
We are a small, fast team. We run SEO, paid media, web, and podcast production for roughly 45 clients. We do paid ads only. We do not do organic social posting.
You own paid media at CMP. That means Meta ad campaigns and Google Local Services Ads across our entire client base, plus the people who run them day to day.
This is not a strategy-only seat. You will be in the ad accounts. You will also be building the team, holding the standard, and sitting in front of clients when performance is questioned. If you want a title without the accountability, this is the wrong job.
The person in this seat before you built real systems. Our Meta Blueprint and LSA SOP are already written and in use. Your job is to run them, improve them, and make sure every account actually follows them.
Campaign performance across the book
You are accountable for cost per lead, lead quality, and client retention on every paid account. You know which accounts are healthy and which are at risk before anyone has to ask you.
Meta ads
Campaign structure, creative testing, audience temperature strategy, scaling and killing decisions. You work in Advantage+ and broad targeting, refresh creative before frequency fatigue sets in, and diagnose underperformance in the right order, which is hook, then angle, then creative, then offer, then audience.
Google Local Services Ads
Full LSA management, budget pacing, lead dispute handling, profile and review health, and the reporting that shows clients what their spend is producing.
Team leadership
You manage the paid media specialists. You set the weekly rhythm, review their work before it goes live, coach them when the numbers slip, and build them into better media buyers than they were when they got here.
Client communication
You present performance directly to contractor owners. You explain what happened, why, and what you are doing about it, in plain language. When a number is bad, they hear it from you first.
Process and standards
You keep our SOPs current. You enforce the change approval rule, which is that no ad copy, creative, form, offer, targeting, landing page, or budget change above ten percent goes live without written client approval. No exceptions and no verbal approvals.
Budget stewardship
You manage client ad spend responsibly, pace budgets, and make sure every dollar is accounted for and reported accurately.
First 30 days
Full audit of every paid account. Written assessment of what is performing, what is at risk, and what needs to be fixed first. Meet every paid media client. Know the team.
First 60 days
At-risk accounts stabilized or on a written recovery plan. Weekly creative refresh cadence running consistently across all accounts. Reporting delivered on time to every client.
First 90 days
Measurable improvement in cost per lead across the accounts you inherited. Team operating on a clear weekly rhythm without you chasing them. SOPs updated with what you have learned.
Ongoing
Accounts hitting our benchmarks. Clients renewing. Specialists getting better. Fewer surprises.
These come straight from our Meta Blueprint. They are mature campaign targets, not launch week expectations.
Cost per lead under $70 Click through rate above 1 percent Lead form conversion rate above 20 percent Frequency under 2.5 before creative refresh Lead to appointment rate 30 to 50 percent Customer acquisition cost between $500 and $700 Minimum 10 new ads launched per week per active account Minimum 2,500 impressions before any kill or scale decision
Plus the ones that matter to the business: client retention on paid accounts, and on time reporting every single week.
Agency experience is required. This is a hard screen. You must have run paid media inside a marketing or advertising agency, managing multiple client accounts simultaneously with client-facing accountability. In-house only experience is not a fit for this role.
Home services experience is strongly preferred. Roofing, HVAC, plumbing, solar, electrical, restoration or similar. If you have not run home services campaigns, you need a very strong agency track record in another high-ticket local service category and you need to be honest about the ramp.
People management is required. You must have managed media buyers or specialists directly, including hiring, coaching, performance conversations, and quality review of their work.
Also required:

Our core values are Performance, Results, Ownership and Speed.
Performance means good is never good enough. You are always optimizing.
Results means you measure yourself by what you did for the client's bottom line, not by how busy you were.
Ownership means you take responsibility to an extreme level. When an account slips, you do not look for who else to point at.
Speed means urgency is the default. You move quickly, respond quickly, and do not let problems sit.
Beyond the values, the people who do well here are direct, comfortable being called out and calling others out, and do not take things personally. We are a laid back culture that is big on personal development and peak performance. We are a small team, so if one person fails, we all fail.
