Remote Mortgage Loan Processor (Contractor)

Full Job Description

Simplified Capital, a US-based mortgage brokerage specializing in DSCR, non-QM, and alternative lending, is looking for an experienced remote Mortgage Loan Processor to join as an independent contractor. You'll work directly with the broker/owner to manage loan files from submission through closing — clearing conditions, coordinating with borrowers and lenders, and keeping files moving efficiently through our pipeline. This is a fully remote, contractor position with flexible availability during US business hours and strong earning potential tied to files closed.

Job Responsibilities

Review and process mortgage loan files (DSCR, non-QM, fix-and-flip) from submission through clear-to-close

Order and track third-party items: appraisals, title, insurance, payoffs

Review borrower and property documentation for completeness and accuracy

Clear underwriting conditions and communicate directly with lenders/underwriters

Maintain accurate, up-to-date file status in our LOS (ARIVE) and internal CRM/conditions tracker

Communicate with borrowers to collect outstanding documentation and provide status updates

Flag potential issues or delays proactively to keep files on track for closing

Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of all borrower financial information

Job Requirements

2+ years of experience as a mortgage loan processor in the US market (highly preferred)

Familiarity with DSCR, non-QM, or investor-focused loan products (preferred, not required)

Experience working within a Loan Origination System (LOS) — ARIVE experience a plus

Strong written and verbal English communication skills for borrower and lender coordination

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously

Reliable internet connection and own computer equipment

Comfortable working independently with minimal daily supervision

Available during core US business hours (Eastern Time)
