Senior Frontend Engineer / Architect — Healthcare SaaS Dashboard Modernization (Contract)

Full Job Description

We are looking for a freelancer to upgrade our existing healthcare SaaS platform built with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB.

Job Responsibilities

## Technical Requirements

- Continue using the existing Next.js frontend and Express/MongoDB backend.

- Use TypeScript and avoid unnecessary dependencies.

- Do not break existing working features.

- Document environment variables, APIs, deployment, backup, and recovery.

## Deliverables

- Updated source code

- Automated tests

- API and deployment documentation

- Database update scripts

- Final testing report

- List of known limitations

Job Requirements

## Required Work

- Fix and test registration, login, password reset, and patient creation.

- Add secure role-based access for administrators, clinic owners, doctors, staff, and patients.

- Ensure each clinic can only access its own patients, appointments, records, and payments.

- Improve patient, clinical record, dental record, appointment, and prescription workflows.

- Add prescription PDF generation, printing, practitioner details, and signatures.

- Improve Stripe subscriptions, webhooks, invoices, cancellations, and failed payments.

- Add reliable email, SMS, WhatsApp, and in-app notifications.

- Move uploads to secure cloud storage with protected file access.

- Add audit logs for important user and clinical actions.

- Complete English and Spanish translations.

- Improve mobile responsiveness, accessibility, security, and performance.

- Add automated tests for all critical workflows.

- Prepare the application for production deployment.
