Full Job Description

JoinBrands is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer to design, implement, and maintain the core backend systems that power our platform. This is a full-time, remote role focused on developing and verifying robust API endpoints and backend functionalities that ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
• Experience working in compliance-focused or high-security environments

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Develop, verify, and maintain new and existing API endpoints
• Design, review, and optimize backend functionalities for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams to ensure seamless system integration
• Manage database design, optimization, and data integrity (SQL/NoSQL)Ensure backend application security, reliability, and maintainability
• Handle bug fixes, deployments, and performance tuning
• Document backend architecture, changes, and technical decisions

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in PHP
• Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of backend frameworks, databases, and version control (GitLab)Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with the ability to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Security-focused mindset with attention to detail and code quality
• Camera-on interviews required
