We're hiring a full-time remote team member to edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) from raw footage and manage comments and DMs across all of our social media channels. You'll add captions, text overlays, trending audio, and transitions to keep our content scroll-stopping, and between edits, you'll reply to customer questions, engage with our community, and flag anything the team needs to see.
Edit 6 to 8 short-form videos per day (42 to 56 per week), each between 9 and 20 seconds long, optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest. Cut raw footage into engaging clips with captions, text overlays, transitions, trending audio, and music. Follow brand guidelines for fonts, colors, and visual style. Resize and reformat content for each platform as needed. Stay current on trending formats and editing styles. Monitor and reply to comments and DMs across all social media channels daily in a friendly, brand-consistent tone. Flag viral moments, recurring questions, or customer feedback the team should act on. Track tasks in Asana, communicate daily via Slack, and log hours through Time Doctor.
2+ years of experience editing short-form video content for social media. Proficient in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software. Strong understanding of what performs well on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Able to edit quickly and at volume in a fast-paced environment. Experience in customer support, community management, or social media comment moderation. Fluent written English with a friendly and professional tone. Comfortable using project management and communication tools such as Asana and Slack. Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet work environment. Experience with Shopify, ecommerce brands, or the outdoor and automotive niche is a plus.
