We support customers throughout Texas with reliable inventory, fast fulfillment, and strong vendor partnerships.We are seeking a driven and analytical Senior Purchasing Specialist to support purchasing operations, inventory planning, vendor management, sourcing, and product management in a fast-paced distribution environment. This is a full-time, 100% remote role working closely with senior management, sales, and operations teams to support customer needs and company growth initiatives.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple vendors and priorities independently. This role requires strong analytical thinking, proactive follow-through, and the ability to maintain vendor accountability regarding pricing, delivery timelines, and service performance
Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment planning
Analyze purchasing trends, inventory movement, stock levels, and demand patterns
Create and manage purchase orders with domestic and international vendors
Follow up on order status, shipping timelines, shortages, and discrepancies
Resolve vendor disputes, pricing issues, backorders, and delivery delays
Source new products based on customer requests and market opportunities
Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors to support company profitability
Benchmark supplier pricing and identify opportunities for cost savings
Maintain strong vendor relationships while ensuring accountability
Introduce and maintain products within ERP and Shopify systems
Maintain product data, pricing, specifications, and website listings
Manage dropship orders and vendor-direct shipments
Coordinate sea freight logistics and import shipments
Collaborate with sales, operations, and leadership teams to support customer needs and purchasing strategy
1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, supply chain, or related fields
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills required
Strong understanding of inventory management and purchasing analysis
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to proactively manage vendors and follow through on outstanding issues
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced English proficiency required
Experience with ERP systems preferred
Experience with Shopify or eCommerce product management is a plus
Experience with imports, freight coordination, or international sourcing is a plus
