Website Designer & Developer (WordPress + SEO)

Full Job Description

We are a multi-location primary care practice looking for one person to own our website end to end. Our site is how most patients find us and book their first visit. This is ongoing part-time work, not a one-time build — we want someone who stays with the site long-term and grows with us. Rate depending on experience level , about 20-40 hours per week, paid weekly.

Job Responsibilities

Build and design:

Day-to-day website and landing page edits — text, hours, provider changes, fixes (as needed)

Build new pages in WordPress for new services, providers, and locations

Homepage updates and seasonal banners (monthly)

Overhaul existing pages — rebuild layout, copy, and structure page by page

Build campaign landing pages for paid ads

Keep the site working on phone, tablet, and desktop; test after every change

Content and SEO:

Add new content across site pages (2x per month)

Write and publish SEO blog posts (2x per month)

Set SEO keyword strategy by service and location (quarterly)

On-page SEO upkeep — page titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, schema (monthly)

Add FAQ sections and clear Q&A content so AI search tools can cite the practice (quarterly)

Build backlinks with local partners, directories, and healthcare and community sites (monthly)

Internal linking between related service, provider, and location pages (monthly)

Maintenance and patient experience:

Site maintenance pass every 2 weeks — plugin and theme updates, broken links, page speed, backups

Build and maintain the AI chatbot that answers patient questions

Website support for patients who have trouble using the site

Recommend changes that make the site easier to use and book with (quarterly)

Job Requirements

3+ years hands-on WordPress — building and rebuilding pages, themes, plugins, no hand-holding needed Real SEO experience, especially local and multi-location SEO Writes clean, clear English copy for a patient audience (blogs, service pages, FAQs) Comfortable with responsive design and basic page speed work Experience setting up or managing an AI chatbot is a strong plus Healthcare or multi-location business experience is a plus, Reliable and responsive — some edits are time-sensitive. Are you fluent in both English and Spanish 

WordPress, Divi, SEO, Web Design, Copywriting / Content Writing, HTML & CSS, Google Analytics, AI Tools (ChatGPT / Claude), AI Chatbot Setup
