Telemarketers will make outbound and follow up calls with the goal of securing and scheduling appointment with the Admissions Advisors with prospects (leads) assigned by the Director of Admission or his dully appointed representative. Telemarketers will contact leads via phone, text or email messages and screen them using the designated scrips to Identify, screen and schedule appointments with the Admissions Advisors to interview the lead to further advance the admissions process.
Contact business and individuals by telephone, text or email to promote our academic programs and student services.
Explain the reason for the call or service to potential students.
Utilized script to call potential students.
Adjust script to meet needs of specific individuals.
Limit customer questions to script and refer additional questions to the Admissions Advisor.
Obtain customer information relevant to their information request.
Record notes on Salesforce CRM to details calls conversations.
Receive incoming telephone calls.
Explain to the lead the value of having and appointment with an Admissions Advisor to learn detail information about the program of interest, financial assistance, class starts, student services and other benefits.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Cold-calling, negotiation skills, B2B experience, and closing skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Excellent spoken and written communication
Strong organizational skills and capability of managing multiple tasks
Comfortable with significant volume of outbound activity calls per week
Strong work ethic
Ability to overcome objections and accept rejection
Self-motivated, goal oriented and ability to work cooperatively in a team
environment
Must be able to project a personable and pleasant phone voice
Must be comfortable spending majority of the time on the phone
Ability to listen and communicate effectively
Ability to follow-up process to qualify screen leads, classify and route them to the right person, update their information in the CRM
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in outbound call center
Phone sales or telemarketing experience
