Position Overview:

As our Operations Czar, you will be the driving force behind the operational success of our diverse business portfolio. Your primary goal will be to create tangible value in each company by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, optimizing processes, and improving input, throughput, and output across all facets of operations. This hands-on role requires a strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and implement practical solutions that directly impact the bottom line.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Strategy: Develop and execute operational strategies tailored to each business unit’s needs, with a particular focus on healthcare and automotive operations.

• Process Improvement: Identify and address inefficiencies in input, throughput, and output, ensuring streamlined operations that reduce costs and enhance quality.

• Value Creation: Drive value creation initiatives across all companies, focusing on both short-term improvements and long-term growth.

• Team Leadership: Mentor and lead managers and teams, instilling a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Project Management: Oversee critical projects, ensuring timely and on-budget completion while delivering measurable improvements.

• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and analyze operational metrics to provide actionable insights that lead to sustained improvements.

• Cross-Company Synergies: Leverage synergies between businesses to optimize resources, share best practices, and drive collective profitability.

• Reporting: Regularly report to the CEO on the performance of each business, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for further growth.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years in operations management, with a strong track record of success in healthcare, automotive, or similarly complex industries. Experience in multi-business environments is highly preferred.

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Operations, etc.) or relevant certifications (PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are advantageous.

• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor diverse teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience in data-driven decision-making and performance analysis.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with modern operations management tools and software, such as ERP systems, project management software, and performance tracking tools.

• Mindset: A proactive, results-driven approach with the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to get things done.

• Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally as needed for on-site visits and team engagements.
